oracle 10g 64bit on red hat: ora_dbw0 using 28% mem

edited Oct 4, 2010 2:38AM in Database Administration (MOSC) 5 commentsAnswered
i've an oracle 10gR2 64bit installed on a linux cluster RedHat5 with 128GB ram (sga_target = 56gb)

i've noticed two problems:
1) the ora_dbw0 process get 28% memory (top on linux) also when database is doing nothing (no batch, no people connected, no queries...)
2) the swap memory is always 100% taken (4gb swap memory)

some tips about?
