ORA-00236: snapshot operation disallowed

 I've restored a controlfile from Production, mounted the database and then tried to restore the datafiles, and I get the following error.


CONFIGURE SNAPSHOT CONTROLFILE NAME TO 'D:\backups\snapcf_orcl.f'; # default

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03002: failure of configure command at 09/30/2010 08:12:51
ORA-00236: snapshot operation disallowed: mounted control file is a backup

Recovery Manager complete.
