Connecting to 11g R2 RAC database in different domain

Hi

We have a 2 node 11g R2 RAC on Linux X64 5.5
 
  • The organization has 2 domains LOCAL and REMOTE
  • Both domains have their own DNS servers
  • Database is located in REMOTE domain and the SCAN entry is registered in the REMOTE domain DNS server
  • From any machine on the REMOTE domain we can perform the nslookup of the scan entry and connect to the database
  • Clients from LOCAL domain need to be able to connect to the database but there is no SCAN entry in the DNS server of LOCAL domain
  • we cannot perform nslookup of scan entry from any machine on the LOCAL domain
