I'm a DBA and I was creating databases on our new servers.  I have two servers, PROD and DEVE and I have installed Oracle 10g and 11g on both.

I created 10g and 11g databases on the PROD server w/o a problem.  But on the DEVE I cannot get DBCA to create a database.  I've worked thru several issues but it seems to have come down to JAVA.  I, as a DBA, have looked at the configurations between the servers, PROD & DEVE, and they look the same but:

On PROD: java -version produces=

java version "1.5.0_23"

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_23-b01) Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.5.0_23-b01, mixed mode)

Howdy, Stranger!
