LISTENERS on 11g R2 RAC and Port # 1521

Hi

In 11g R2 RAC durinig the initial installation and configuraiton of the database, a default LISTENER is created and a SCAN entry is configured as well on PORT 1521

Can someone please answer the following questions

1. Assuming that there will only be one database in this 2 node RAC system, do we need to configure additional listener(s)?

2. In Pre 11g R2, we used to create LISTENERS to listen to PORTS other then Port 1521 for security reasons
but in 11g R2 the SCAN entry has the SCAN NAME and the Port 1521. Would this make for an insecure listener
configuration? How can we make this more secure? Should we change the SCAN PORT # (Dunno if its possible) OR the
