Oracle 11.5.9 to R12 Data Migration

 Hi All
We are in process of upgrading Oracle 11.5.9 to R12. As usual lot of queries regarding the upgrade.

The approach is new installation of R12 then data migration.

I had started with estimates of data/config migrations from 11.5.9 to R12.

I am expecting some guidelines to start the process. Please help

1. Is there any oracle standard data migration programs: at least for standard processes AR/AP open invoices, GL Balances, FA assets, Customers and suppliers ?
    or the legacy process of data migration is preferred.

2. What is the best approach to estimate the customizations? 
    a. Compile the programs in R12 instance to check the feasibility ?
