Distribution - JDE1 (MOSC)

What is the best tool in or outside of JDE to manage shipments?

We are a mining company that sells everything we could make ( and more)

Demand is greater then Supply ( great problem)

We can't build up much inventory since the material takes acers of land.

This also could cause waste depending on weather conditions.

Distributions spends a lot of time moving shipment dates and amounts for customers to distribute the requirements and our supply.

If we have a line down or if wheather stops the trains or the distributions centers is adds even more work to the task.

Most is done in spread sheets.

What tool have you found the best to handle the situation?
