Problems with redhat cluster and new Oracle Linux Kernel

edited Oct 19, 2010 10:53PM in Linux Operating System (MOSC) 4 commentsAnswered
Hi all, we installed and configured a two node cluster with OEL 5.5 and used the public yum repository for now (still waiting for the license codes for OEL Network).

We must put in production in very short time the system with a single instance oracle database in fail-over and some other services (apache+tomcat) using the redhat software for clustering.

The standard configuration works perfectly, but if we use the new oracle optimized kernel the clustering software stops working. Starting the service with cman it responds "FATAL: Module lock_dlm not found" and does not start.
It seems that the new kernel does not have some module, but i could not find any clue about resolving this.

Howdy, Stranger!
