Oracle 10g jobs

 I have a job scheduled to run 10 PM using dbms_job. I am finding that it does not always run at 10PM - sometimes it runs an hour to later. This sometimes causes downstream jobs to fail. 

I've read that this can be fixed by increasing job queue processes, currently set to two. Does anyone have first hand experience with this? I need to be sure before making the change, so that I don't have another job failure.
