import failed to install all user objects

We have a customer who was given an export of our application's schema.  The schema was imported to the same user name and tablespace name.   Later, our application started failing in different ways.  On investigation, we found that certain tables were missing.  The on-site dba said that the tables are missing because the export was made from an enterprise Oracle and the import was done to a standard edition Oracle.  Further, he said that the tables were not imported because standard edition does not support Deferred Segment Creation.  I find it hard to believe that if I export all objects owned by a
