MES and Serialization

Hello,

I am trying to understand teh functionality of the serialization functions available within MES.. Do they differ from Inventory setups? Is it possible to introduce a components serial number at time of Work Order component issue/backflush? With the functionality known to me, you need to serialize the item prior to receipt into inventory in order to issue a specific work order.. I'm not sure if htere is some flexibility with MES.

Any info, docs, inputs you have are greatly appreciated!
