dbfs on exadata

I'm trying to figure out if I can run dbfs on only 4 nodes but have it available on all 22 of our production nodes.
I think I read someplace that you can have it running on a node as long as there is a tnsnames to the instance but I can't seem to find that again.  So I may be making that up

Anyone played with this and trying to set it up on limited nodes like this?
