Oracle database on NetApp - need to do a re-org (using alter table move & alter index rebuild) whene

Hi

We recently moved Oracle binaries/database files from really old external disks to NetApp storage.

System Configuration

     Sun Sparc Solaris 5.8

     Oracle 9.2.0.8 server

     NetApp - flexvol on FAS3140 on Ontab 8.0.7 - mode.

We are using different mount setting for the mount that is holding Oracle binaries and for the mount holding Oracle database files.

Anytime, when there is new upload, the fresh data takes lot of time during download.

But when I do a re-org, the problem goes away.

Does anyone know what could be the reason?   or If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
