Help with Synchronous Capture Setup

 Hello,  I am trying to evaluate use of the 11g Streams feature of Sync capture.  I have read through the documentation, but am stuck.  What I want to do is create a sync capture on a table, then have a PL/SQL handler

read the LCR message off the queue and do some processing on it.  All the examples I have found only deal with replicating to another schema/database.  I don't need to do that. Does anyone know of a complete, example or tutorial of this somewhere?
