 Hi !!
My environment is HP Unix tru-64.  I already have Oracle 9i and Oracle 8i running on it.  My major applications are using Oracle 9.2.0.6 and have all the data trees installed in the Oracle 9.
Now I need to install oracle 10g on this machine and I don't want this 10g to mess up with my 9i because of some reasons.
I want to ask the following questions:
a.    Can I install oracle 10g under some user other than oracle e.g. a new user oracle10
b.    Can I define a different oracle base
c.    If yes, what will happen with my oratab and oraenv files.  I mean would my 10g be accessing the same oratab and oraenv files or can I create a new set of these files to make them separate from oracle 9i

Howdy, Stranger!
