How to memo lines are not taxable

Hi AR and EBtax team,

We are using R12.1.2. In AR Invoices, we are using memo lines to charge miscellaenous kind of charges and credits.

When we are importing memo lines, taxes are calculated on these invoices and they should not be calculated on these transactions.

I do find Tax Category and Tax Classfication on Memo line definition window. Is there any possibility to leverage these fields to define Tax Exceptions. Let me know if any one configured this scenario or if you have any suggestions about how to work around this situation on tax calculation.
