How can I delete a requisition line in autocreate?

Good afternoon,

We are having a situation wherein we have had several employees leave the organization and we have had to close out their open POs for them since they are no longer here.  When this happens, the requisition lines are returned to the Buyer's autocreate.  How can the buyer delete these lines from his autocreate?  He cannot return them becuase it causes an error.  Please advise.
