Trying to establish an upgrade path from Forms 6i

As previous Forms community discussions attest, I am in good company: I have about 75 applications developed in Oracle Forms 6i that are still limping along.  We have had a couple of 'wake-up calls' recently: deploying Forms 6i on a 64-bit Windows 7 client, late-breaking Reports 6i bugs, etc.  We have managed to resolve each 'challenge' so far, but the clock is ticking and it's time to figure out what's next...

After briefly flirting with the notion of using the MS .NET IDE for the upgrade, I am now leaning back towards Oracle Forms/Reports IDE (10 or 11).  While we will incur a greater licensing cost (we currently have no OAS license), and possibly a hardware hit (to have a capable box on as an app server), the fact is that these costs will likely pale in comparison to the savings we'll realize by recycling the old Forms FMB's.

Howdy, Stranger!
