Oracle General Ledger 12.1.3 - Journal Import Process (Control Totals)

Is it possible to load a journal "Control Total" field from a legacy system to the GL_INTERFACE table and subsequently run the Import process to import that information from the GL_INTERFACE table into the Oracle General Ledger application. We are bringing over several years worth of GL account balances from our legacy system and would like the journal to have a "control total" so that we can compare the total of the journal entries imported from the legacy system to that control total.  I don't see a CONTROL_TOTAL field in the GL_INTERFACE table but there are a lot of references fields in that file
