How to synchronize the dataguard?

Hi,

One of our standby databases is not in synch with the primary database. Whe I select rows from v$archive_gap it is returning no rows. When I select maximum sequence of log from v$archived_log both (i.e. primary and standby) are showing different number. How can I solve this problem?

Please respond as soon as possible as it is a production database problem.
