ORA-1031 error while connecting to the database as sys user

 Hi,

We are running Oracle 10g Release 2 Database (10.2.0.4) on RedHat EL Server. We are unable
to connect to the database as a sysdba. We are getting the error as:

"ORA-01031: insufficient privileges"

Please respond as soon as possible.
