Extending the Life of an asset based on the Net Book Value

I am wondering if there is any way in Oracle to extend the life of an asset based on the Net Book Value.  What I mean by this is that we do not want Oracle to automatically go back and adjust all the previous depreciation take for that asset.  Say for example that we have an asset that's original cost was $3000 and we depreciated straight line  over 3 years, and we are two years into the depreciation cycle.  Let's assume that the Net Book Value is now $1000.  We want to extend the life of the asset to 5

Howdy, Stranger!
