Tax Calls in OLM

In Oracle OLM 11i during Origination process if Systems Options>Sales Tax Options>Upfront Tax checkboxis flagged and a stream type is associated for upfront tax, when the QA is initiated via Validation a tax call is made from OLM to the AR tax engine. But what about re-lease contracts?

From testing if I Terminate assets Without Purchase and then update in Asset Return Requests the status from "Scheduled" to "Manual Re-lease" then create a new contract flag it as a re-lease and link the returned asset to it (completing all the required processes i.e. asset details, payment schedules etc) when I run the validation QA I don't there is no tax call to calculate upfront tax.
