PAY: Payroll element calculation not in sync with actual value due to ROUNDUP
This is for seeking information on best practice or commonly used norm.
We have hourly employees. There are elements which are used to pay these employees. If the rate (hourly salary) or the hours entered for these employees is not an integer, it is so happening that there is a discrepancy in the total amount for that balance in "Rate Details" form on SOE form and SOE (run results). This is happening as the "Rate details" form is adding all the element hours and then multiplying with rate and then rounding it up. However SOE shows run result values, this uses fast formula aatached to the element. This fast formula is multiplying
