Intercompany billing between multiple inventory orgs in the same OU

We are doing intercompany invoicing for the Orders performed by other Inventory orgs, but they all are in the same operating unit. As per Oracle's documentation, the intercompany billing works only if the inventory orgs are in 2 different operating units. I like to know if anyone accomplished intercompany billing between 2 inventory orgs in the same operating units.
