Can I have a project functional currency that is different from the associated Set of books currency

Being relatively new to Oracle Projects I was hoping someone would assist on the following.

I have a requirement to be able to report on a project in USD whilst having the Set of Books in GHC

My question is: Can I have a project functional currency that is different from the associated Set of books currency?  The application seems to let me do this but I was wondering if there are any shortfalls or limitations that I might encounter going forward.
