Patch 10.2.0.4.0 on Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard Env.

Hi,

We have implemented Oracle 10g R2 RAC(10.2.0.3.0) on a Two Node HP-UX (IA-64) with Database on ASM.

DR Site is implemented with a Single Node Oracle 10g R2 using Oracle Data Guard standby Database with Database on ASM.

We are planning to apply Patchset 10.2.0.4.0 and want to know if we need to re-setup the Standby Database again after applying Patchset 10.2.0.4.0 on Prod Oracle RAC env and DR env.

One of the DBAs was telling me that after patching the Oracle 10g S/W on the DR env, after we start the Prod and DR database, the upgrade to 10.2.0.4.0 will happen once the logs are shipped and applied. I am not too sure if upgrade to 10.2.0.4.0 will happen on the DR this way.
