Rman questions on recovery to another server

 Hi, I've just been asked to recover a prod database to another server and recover to a date 9/29/2010.
Currently in rman we the recovery window is set for 7 days, so I have to go to tape to retrieve the backup files.

I need to recover prod to another server and will give it a new name.

Can someone please outline the steps to complete this recovery and bypassing the recovery window?
