 We had an interesting SR a few days ago that we'd like to share. The question came in asking, "Why are journal entries still being generated by the P31802 - Work in Process Manufacturing accounting program, when the GLPO flag is set to an N (no)?

Here is the answer:

This flag is strictly for Distribution programs. It is not used by Manufacturing. We explained that if we had such a flag in Manufacturing, that it would be located in the Manufacturing Constants. We did supply a work around however. Within the data selection for the P31802, select WAMMCU NE (not equal) to the branch plant where no journal entries are required as this branch plant is a consignment branch.
