Listener name PRTCLD09_LSNR is shutting down when performed a lsnrctl stop

Oracle Version 8.1.7.4
The only listener configured on the database is named PRTCLD09_LSNR.
Then why if a script perform a lsnrctl stop , the listener named PRTCLD09_LSNR shuts down ?

In the script also, belos the line of lsnrctl stop there is a shutdown immediate.
