R12 - PreUpgrade - Sales Orders that are Pick Confirmed or Staged

Do we need to as a part of the R12 Pre-Upgrade perform the following step?
Backorder or ship confirm the Order Lines prior to Upgrade to make these transactions visible to Oracle Inventory?
