Hello! we have two identical database Server  and at a time One working as Master (all the activities handlled) and other is working as Slave(just implement database changes from Master machine's database)
Both has configuration
O.S.- Windows 2008 Server
Database:- Oracle 11.1.0.6.0 sever standard One edition
RAM:- 4 GB
Processor:- Intel xeon 4 processor

And Client machine
O.S. Windows XP sp3
Database:- Oracle 11.1.0.6.0 Client
RAM:1GB
Processor: Intel core to duo.

Now  the situation is like this
On the client machine the Application is connected to Master Machine... now we shut down the master machine.. and at that time Slave Machine becomes Master Machine and started all the activities. ... But on client side the application doesn't get connected to Machine which is now Master.....

Howdy, Stranger!
