Unwanted Asset Lines in Prepare mass addition form

 Good day,

Please can you advise me on the way to get rid off unwanted asset lines in the prepare mass addition form?  They are currently in the merged queue.  I tried to change it to deleted and then run the delete process but I can not change the status to "delete" due to FRM-40200: Field is protected against update.

I appreciate any assistance
