DATE_ALLOCATED in PA_PROJECT_FUNDINGS_V

Please could somebody explain what this field is supposed to represent.

In the forms 11.5.7.10.2 it is available Aggrements->Funding summary-> Funding History and shows as adate with User,Funding Amount and Funding history.

On a lot of projects, the date is a date sometimes years into the future and there seems neither rhyme nor reason for it.

I was looking into an agreement for another reason and came across this oddity. Our agreements are auto-created to generate an approved income budget so that income and revenue can be generated without user intervention.
