Conversion of Open Capital Projects

Hi,

We have a requirement to convert the open capital projects, in the same version of Oracle E-Business suite, due to the fact that customer wanted to have a new capital project template to accommodate the cross charge function (for the cost that are incurred by other SOBs).

Questions:
1. Will it be possible to look out for a way to convert the existing open projects? We understand that the open projects will be at different statuses. If so, can you suggest how we can achieve the same? Will there be an impact?

2. Other option which we are thinking of is to continue the existing projects in the old process and accommodate the new ones in the changed process.
