Purging While Upgrading to R12

 Hi,

Our client is upgrading to R12.1.X, we have a single Module AR being used of version 11.5.7.

We might take a 2 step upgrade path 11.5.7-->11.5.9-->12.1.X

Can some one help me with Information, If there is a way to purge Transactional data while upgrade process itself.

We are aware of the Purging capability that AR module provides, but we were curious if there is also a purging process available during upgrade of the current instance.
