Hyperion Report Studio - Allow Expansion Issue

 I have a report where I have chosen the "Allow Expansion" feature.  The report worked fine for over a year and about 2 weeks ago it stopped working.  The report runs and displays but when you try to use the expansion it hangs indefinitely in workspace.  The report contents have not changed so I don't know what is causing the issue.  We did upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 awhile ago.  has anyone experience this issue or does anyone have any suggestions to resolve it.
