how to prevent a failover during scheduled network maintenance
We have a couple of 3.2 clusters spanned between buildings. Each building has a primary switch which provides connectivity for the public nets and one of the private nets. The other private net runs across a separate out of band network. One cluster still uses a quorum server but I assume the nodes will still be okay since they'll still see each other. The other cluster uses a quorum disk.
The core switch in one of the buildings is scheduled for maintenance that will require a reboot which is estimated to take about 20 minutes. I've been asked to look for a way to prevent a failover while the switch it down due to the short outage. Is there a recommended way to do this?
