How to configure the item description?

Hi

I would like to find a way to configure the item description.

Our model is rather large and we do not want to print all sales order lines details (35 lines). 

Customer care need to be able to see a comprehensive description without having to look at
 the sales order line details to understand what product has been ordered.


Should I try to populate the catalog elements of the item star number? If yes, how would should I proceed?

Or should I try customize the user item description?
