Intercompany transactions across ledgers

In our case, we have multiple ledgers and multiple LEs. It is say 1-1 mapping(1 ledger - 1 LE). To perform intercompany transactions between LEs, is it required to use AGIS (Advanced global Intercompany system)? or there is some other feature to perform the same.
