Shrink LOB

We are on top of 10.2.0.3 on Linux86-64
We have had problems with the time for lobs columns for apply shrink in the segments.  The time for this task has had 27 Hours and don't finish.  We heard about a workaround of compression feature 11g but we need a test concept  with a expert in Lob Segments. Can anyone help us with this theme ?
