What data collection is best for SVM fault/errors if explorer will not run?

 If explorer will not run or if I just want to get a quick overview of a configuration I use the following command.  Does anyone else have any other recommendations? 

1.  echo|format
2.  iostat -En
3.  metastat -p
4.  metastat -t
5.  metadb -i
6.  cat /etc/release
7.  gather all messages files
8.  uname -a

This should get me started, anyone else use any other commands as well?
