Asset acquired in the month does not post to GL

why  One asset is acquired on the last day of the month/period 31-oct-10 does not show on the asset JE transfered to GL.

DESCRIPTION:

cost history shows following

                    transaction date:31-oct-10, Effective Period: Oct-10, fiscal year: 2010

prorate is midmonth that is 15-oct-10 to 14-nov-11.

Oct-10

Addition is not posted in Oct-10    (NOT OKAY)

Depreciation is not calculated in Oct-10 (OKAY)

Nov-10

Addition is not posted in Nov-10 (NOT OKAY)

Depreciation is CALCULATED in Nov-10.
