Rapid Planning: mainly for simulations?
I was following the excellent advisor webcast last night on Rapid Planning. Very good overview, and good scenarios and flows.
After the event, I thought of one question: is Rapid Planning mainly, or even exclusively, meant for simulations? Probably not exclusively, since releasing planned orders was also demonstrated, so it is possible to use the plan output.
Another way of phrasing the question is: have any Rapid Planning users given up running ASCP plans, or is the more common scenario that ASCP is still run on whatever frequency (I would assume daily, or weekly, in most cases), and Rapid Planning is an additional tool to answer questions on hot demands, impacts of supply problems, etc?
