Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. Alert log is growing and not allowing to open it on AIX

Alert log file is increasing and it is not allowing to open it.

Is this causes performance issue?

I want to know how to copy the data in alert lof alertlog.bak file?

I mean how to empty the alertlog file?

My database is oracle 10g 2 node RAC on aix.
