Promote Objects in my Fat client to DV, PY, and PD

I have a request from one of our developers to promote objects (build and deploy) from his developer workstation to DV, PY, and PD.
 

I will be dealing this kind of request first time.

 

I am confused because the objects are in the developer workstataion. Should I login to DV812 and then build and deploy the objects to DV812 or login to Developer workstation and then build and deploy to DV812. The package naming convention here I believe will be DV812FAU5 (or something like).
 
I have a machine where full client DV812 is installed. How can I see what packages were already built and deployed since I have to check the last DV full package built and the update applied.
