Impact of Object code change

We are on 11i 10.2. We need to change natural account segment values altogather. Some of  the new values are same as the old one but has different attributes (qualifiers) (like different account type, different meaning.). The length of the new and old are same. We do not want to go for another BU. Can any one suggest how to handle the situation? GL do not allow same value to be entered twice.
