Difference bewteen Order Capture and Quoting??

Hi,

Sorry ,I know this might be a very basic question. My understanding is that Order capture in 11i corresponds to Quoting in r12. I dont see any order capture terminology in r12. However I still see an application registered as Order capture active in r12. Can someone please provide me some detailed documentation on the difference.

Also how do I get access to quoting application,I mean what are the setups that need to performed.
