 Fellow Solaris Admins,

Here is an email I sent to my colleagues where I work. What are your thoughts?

Subject: The million dollar NFS question

Team,

While Investigating the NFS issue my original analysis of snoop data captured from the good working server and the bad client, which was failing with authentication error showed me that the byte length for the bad client (32 bytes) FSINFO procedure 19 was less than the FSINFO procedure 19 for the good client ( 76 bytes) This led me to believe that this was why the server euwpipfils002 was rejecting the clients request and thus denying the mounts.

Howdy, Stranger!
