How to convert from legacy system PO Number at the Expenditures table and make it searchable? No Ora

 We're trying to convert from legacy system the PO Number, we can't use PO_NUMBER since we're not using Oracle PO, then that field is not visible if I populate it since I need a valid PO number id.
If use a DFF, how to make it searchable from the front end for the user?
